Y. E. Yang had a great fourth round yesterday in Minnesota with 280 hits and hit three times defeated by the American Tiger Woods, world number one, who had led 91 of the PGA Championship for the first three dates.
For Yang, 37, is his first victory in a Major and the second in a competition of the Professional Golfers Association (PGA), following his triumph at the Honda Classic.
Success makes it also the first South Korean to win a tournament "Big" in the history of the discipline.
"I tried to control my emotions," Yang said through his agent, who served as a translator at the end of the competition.
The victory was of major importance to achieve it against the best golfer in the world, before that lid on the Hazeltine Golf Club in Minnesota, had lost only one tournament with 36 victories, when marching to the front on the last day of powers.
