Hamilton Wins in Singapore and Button is close to the Title Lewis Hamilton won today's Formula 1 Grand Prix of Singapore for their second win of the season ahead of German Timo Glock and Fernando Alonso Spanish.

Championship leader, the Englishman Jenson Button, approaches the title by extending his advantage over Brazilian Rubens Barrichello in second place.

Hamilton, still world champion, dominated from first to last night the only Grand Prix of the season and won in his McLaren-Mercedes eleventh win of his career.

Alonso got his Renault's best result this season and the fastest lap of the Grand Prize, a balm for a team beaten by the scandal over the manipulation of the outcome of the race in Singapore last year.

The other winner of the race was Button who finished fifth just ahead of his teammate Brawn Grand Prix, Barrichello, and adds one more point to your advantage.

With three Grands Prix (30 points), Britain now has 15 points of income on Barrichello and Red Bull 25 on the German Sebastian Vettel, fourth today and even though remote mathematical possibilities.

The first round was quieter than expected, except for Alonso, who came fifth, became the fourth and fell to sixth place in a matter of meters. Red Bull's Australian Mark Webber missed the Spanish and advance by Glock off the track and in anticipation of a possible sanction.

The Brawn Grand Prix Barrichello and Button positions rose from tenth and twelfth place respectively, from leaving.
